WHO WE ARE
Makon Group started operation in August 1997 as an international company that specializes in the design and implementation of data acquisition, measurement, and control systems; procurement, operations and maintenance of controls and automation systems, metering and instrument calibration, manpower supply and consultancy services for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries (either directly or through its affiliated counterparts). The Nigerian affiliate, Makon Engineering and Technical Services Limited, obtained ISO 9001 certification on 27 July 2000 as evidence of the company’s commitment to quality. Its corporate quality procedures adhere to the requirements set out by the International Standard Organization (NIS ISO 9001: 1994) and therefore provides a strong technological support for the west and central African regional operations with facilities to handle projects of diverse complexity and magnitude involving engineering design, procurement, and construction projects that require thousands of man-hours.
Makon Group operation spans the entire West African coast, being strategically located within her oil and gas nerve centre provides our associates and partners with a high level support infrastructure within the sub region. Our location in Houston, Texas USA ensures that we are always on the cutting edge of technology as they evolve and also act as the technological support centre for the entire Makon Group of companies

WE ARE HIRING
We are looking for some young, very sharp and reliable Corrosion Design Engineers to work on an EPC project.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess a B.Sc degree in relevant Engineering discipline obtained at a minimum of 2nd Class upper division from a reputable university.
• Not to be more than 35 years old with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
JOB REQUIREMENT
• Good computer skills: Hardware and Software proficient and able to navigate through application per checklist items.
• Must be proficient at interpreting and working from technical manuals, understanding drawings, (P&IDs, Electrical/Instrument and Mechanical, etc), develop material lists.
Ability to relate well with people of different races and cultures.
Ability to be a team player. Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
Ability to adapt to varying work situations.
Result oriented with a high sense of responsibility.
