Population Council Vacancy for Research Data Analyst in Abuja, Nigeria

The Population Council an international, non-profit, non-governmental institution that seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Research Data Analyst in its Abuja office.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, manage, and implement social & epidemiological research protocols
2. Undertake data management activities to ensure protocol adherence & data integrity
3. Manage large relational data sets, merging across data sources & formats
4. Clean, weigh, analyse, and present data for report preparation.
5. Conduct literature reviews, advanced analysis of datasets, write-up analysis for manuscprits, papers, and articles.

Qualifications:
1. Ph.D plus 2 years post-graduate professional experience (or Masters plus 5 years) in relevant social science or epidemiology.
2. Strong analytic and database skills including statistical analysis.
3. Ability to use statistical packages-Epi Info, SPSS (required), STATA (optional); ArcInfo (advantage)
4. Experience in implementing management information systems and field research essential.
5. Excellent communication skills including written communication and oral presentation skills.
